Young men received £13, 542 from the Youth Opportunity Fund and £8,142 from the awards for all lottery programme, which funded the project.

 

The project consisted of the production of a film and resource pack, delivery of a film premiere launch event and a roadshow of workshops with other youth centres, projects, organisations and other local authorities.

This is a heritage project exploring the views, experiences and memories of the hijab and the impact of 9/11 on 2nd and 3rd generation Muslim and non- Muslim women’s views.

Young women received £25,000 from the heritage lottery fund which funded the project.

 

21 recorded memories have been brought to life through a film.

 

The project also consisted of a resource pack, delivery of a film premiere launch event and an exhibition and workshops across the West Midlands area with schools, youth centres, projects, organisations, colleges and universities.

Young men received £2,472.00 received from Community Development Foundation which funded the project.
